It’s time you meet with her and stop being so ignorant
I am a treaty member of CPFN. A Dene people and am proud of our standing I was not aware of all these transactions until I saw it all happening on the news. Why were we not informed of these decisions before it got so out of hand. And how much more of these decisions are there before we are told. There are a ot of oil industries surrounding us and they come and have meetings with our band but these industries have already started their process before they even come to negotiate. So there is no negotiating. They just walk in and do as they want. There is no thought of the people that live here and or the consequences of life after all is ruined.

Open your heart Harper…you can do it if you try.
I support idle no more all the way..
My additional comments to the letter:
Prime Minister Harper,
I support Idle No More and Chief Theresa Spence’s hunger strike.
I am ashamed of the way the Canadian Government both Conservative and Liberal and the non-native Canadian people have treated our First Nations People.
Now with yourself and your party in power I am more than doubly ashamed and I direct that shame directly to you Mr. Harper. I see you dismantling this country and all of it’s people piece by greedy piece. There is apartheid in this country directed by your government to it Native People. I want you to look to your heart and soul and see what you are doing to this once proud country.
I urge you to meet with First Nations leaders, include First Nations in decision-making, and observe and honour treaty rights.
Salutations sincères / Sincerely,
Robert W. McMaster
London, Ontario, Canada
Stop abusing your position and stop abusing First Nations lives and rights
I SUPPORT IDLE NO MORE
Please Mr. Harper, do what is right and meet with the First Nations leaders it is so long overdue that Cheif Spence is putting her wellbeing and life at risk.
Keep promises made. Be honorable.
Indigenous rights
I think the demand “to be included in decision-making” is way too weak, because I think the Conservative government has no desire to treat people, especially First Nations people, with equality in a decision-making process and I think they will just try to divert and block any consultative process with legalese and slight-of-hand. I still support your demand with all my soul.
On the other hand I think the demand to Honour Treaty Rights puts the Harper Government on the defensive, both nationally and internationally.
Treaties do not have an expiration date!!! You can’t handle this fight
Prime Minister Harper,
You Sir, are PAID by the People you SERVE to ENACT THE LAW !
I strongly suggest you DO SO rather than obeying the CRIMINAL WHIMS of your corporate sponsors, whatever potential for BLACKMAIL they may hold over you . . . .
I support Idle No More and Chief Theresa Spence’s hunger strike.
I urge you to meet with First Nations leaders, include First Nations in decision-making, and observe and honour treaty rights.
We are not bad people, but we’ve been labled bad, supported 100% by the Government who has every reason to cover up the truth about how this Country was really built. The world is going to be told and I support all who are going to talk. There is to much documentation out there to deny your plan.
I certainly feel the exact same way! Well said sir, wel said
Do what is right and honor sacred promises made.
Honour the First Nations Treaty Rights! Open your heart& open the conversation for change! You may actually get some of your honour back in the exchange, at this point people around the world are losing respect for you by the minute! If anything happens to her, her blood will be on your hands! Time to wake up!
I don’t understand what the hold up is? Doesn’t Canadas word mean anything? We’re still waiting for you to honour your end of the deal, Remember the Treaties that were signed, they’re still legal documents and we’re taking them to the United Nations to show the world what kind of businous you guys run.
I SUPPORT IDLE NO MORE
Just Stand your grand This for all Rainbow People For if we do not soon we will be slaves to the grovemt and the land grabber’s ( or They the SAME?? ) LGW.
I support and active with “Idol No More”
Dear Prime Minister
In their hearts, everyone knows what is right here. If you do the right thing, respect the views of the local people, in the long run the whole nation will benefit and recognise your integrity and honour. If you betray the people, and are seen to side with the short term interests of corporations and money, the whole country will be disillusioned with politicians, and will lose their trust in democracy.
I support Chief Spence and her objectives!

Bloods and Peigan Indians Dominate Lethbridge Alberta Mall
“Idle No More” Drumming and Round Dance at the Park City Mall in Lethbridge Alberta Canada, Blackfoot Country, Treaty 7 Territory. 21 December, 2012. The Blackfoot Confederacy and their Allies Say No to the Violations of Aboriginal and Treaty Rights by the Illegitimate Harper Government. By helping to build up rather than extinguishing Aboriginal Canada we build a better Canada for all… a Canada of compromise, the rule of law, and peace keeping. Indian Act No. Section 35 Implementation and Enforcement Act, Yes.
I 100% agree with your well stated position.
Respectfully, David, it is not a demand, but a condition of the treaties between First Nations and Britain. Gov’t of Canada is a third party, with no legal power to alter those treaties. And this, of course, is the problem, since the Crown has gone AWOL since its representative gave assent to C-45.
I SUPPORT IDLE NO MORE!For my sake as well as my childrens!
I support Chief Spence and deplore the substandard treatment of First Nations People and the our failure to consider both their needs and rights and the importance of our environment.
I support Chief Theresa Spence and Idle No More 100% –
i support idle no more. hope and pray that harper will do what is best for the country and for the sake of chief theresa spence life. he should also realize how precious a life is, any life. do something before it is too late!!!
I support IdleNoMore and Chief Theresa Spence. As far as I’m concerned you guys committed every crime in the world to get America but you guys failed. We’re supposed to be two Governments working together and we’ll settle for nothing less. that was the agreement that was made in the treaties.
I am a member of Dene FN and I support Idle No More and Chief Theresa Spence. The Government has and continously violated the Aboriginal and Treaty Rights of the FN peoples since beginning of colonization until now and the time has come to put a stop to it. We (FN) have enough educated people to carry out the rest of the plan (to let the let the rest of the world know of your abuse and ignorance towards FN people) if no resolution evolves out of the demand for you (Harper) to meet with the FN Leaders as Chief Spence requested. This is not hard to do so please just meet with the First Nations Leaders and save lives too.
When you were voted into power, you singed a declaration of oath, now is the time to stand up to what you signed…OR….Maybe it’s time to Step Down…The World is coming together to SUPPORT IDLE NO MORE…
Mr. Harper: the longest journey you will ever make is the journey from your MIND to your HEART! As an Indian Woman of Canada, I totally support Chief Theresa Spence and the Idle No More Movement. Wake up and RESPECT US. For my GRANDCHILDREN AND THEIR CHILDREN’s Children… It is your ” duty to consult and accommodate!” Hiy Hiy

I, a proud Canadian, am not First Nations. I am happy, proud and inspired to see the Idle No More movement and I stand with and behind you. It’s time that your voice be heard! For the respect of Fundamental Human Rights, the Original Treaties, and the Environment! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!
First Nations have been robbed of enough already. Don’t go down in history as another leader of genocide!! Act like a true Canadian! (or leave, you won’t be missed).
I fully support Chief Spence and her objectives!

Harper: the hardest and longest Journey is the Journey from your MIND TO YOUR HEART. This is a teaching from our Respected Elders in Indian country. Is it so difficult to demonstrate RESPECT, HUMILITY, HONESTY, WISDOM, COURAGE and LOVE for the FIRST NATION PEOPLE and other Canadians. I SUPPORT CHIEF THERESA SPENCE AND OTHER ELDERS ON THE FAST. Do the RIGHT THING FOR OUR COUNTRY. Put aside your ignorance and pride. HIY HIY.
Chief Teresa Spence is a leader. Take note Harper.
I supports idle no more for my future as a Canadian and my child’s future as well as the rest of the worlds’ future!
DON’T KILL HER HARPER!
DON’T KILL US HARPER!
Honour our treaty rights and include us in the decision making that effects us first hand!
I support Idle No More & Chief Theresa Spence. The prime minister should meet with her already.
Prime Minister Harper,
In my opinion your reluctance to meet with Chief Theresa Spence reveals the hollow nature of your apology to the First Nations of Canada. It is high time for the government of Canada to start listening closely to what the First Nations wish to tell us, and to do so not merely through officially established channels of the government’s choosing. It is the government’s responsibility to engage with First Nations with the intent of reaching a deeper and more genuine understanding of their perspectives and rights.
Until the First Nations of this country are thriving, Canada is living a lie in regarding itself as an exemplary democracy founded on mutual respect and understanding.
I urge you to meet with First Nations leaders, include First Nations in decision-making, and observe and honour treaty rights. I strongly support the Idle No More movement and hope that it spreads and grows. I trust that the Treaty rights and prosperity of First Nations will become, increasingly, a major concern for all Canadians and one that seriously influences who we choose to lead and govern our country.
