Public Response has been shocked at the loss of life at an unsafe garment factory in Bangladesh, which collapsed on April 24 and killed more than 300 people, many of whom were women.

The women were making Joe Fresh clothing, a low cost garment brand owned by the Canadian corporation Loblaw Comapanies Ltd. It sells Joe Fresh garments in their supermarkets across Canada, including Loblaws, Real Canadian Superstore, Independent, and Zehrs Markets – but their cheap clothes aren’t worth the human cost.
